On March 8, 2022, Goodie left her Lafayette-area home after telling family and friends that she would be driving someone to Houston, Texas, the following day. 33-year-old Ella Goodie picked up a passenger to drive from Louisiana to Texas, and no one has seen her since.Goodie’s two teenage children weren’t immediately concerned when their mom wasn’t right home, but Goodie’s brother filed a missing report when she was still missing on March 11. Police now believe she may have been murdered.
