Interested in “facts that don’t fit” from an early age, in 1991, Greg Bishop co-founded a magazine called THE EXCLUDED MIDDLE, which was a journal of UFOs, conspiracy research, psychedelia and new science. It ceased publication in 1999. WAKE UP DOWN THERE!, which anthologized many of the articles and features, was published in 2000 by Adventures Unlimited Publishing.Greg’s second book was PROJECT BETA: THE STORY OF PAUL BENNEWITZ, NATIONAL SECURITY, AND THE CREATION OF A MODERN UFO MYTH (2005 Simon & Schuster/ Pocket Books), which documented a government campaign of disinformation perpetrated against an unsuspecting U.S. citizen. WEIRD CALIFORNIA, a portrait of strange and eerie history and places in the Golden State, was released by Sterling Publishers and Barnes & Noble in 2006. Greg contributed about 75% of the material and photos.From December 2007 to November 2011, Greg blogged for the UFO and paranormal site Ufomystic. His last book was IT DEFIES LANGUAGE. It is composed, for the most part, of entries from that blog along with older material and brand new articles written just for the collection. In 2019, along with co-writer Adam Gorightly, he co-wrote A IS FOR ADAMSKI: THE GOLDEN AGE OF THE CONTACTEES about the UFO contact movement.For two years, Greg hosted THE HUNGRY GHOST, a radio show of interviews and music airing on pirate FM station KBLT in Los Angeles. His current show, RADIO MISTERIOSO is available at www.radiomisterioso.comHe is currently running a project called THE UFOLOGY TAROT, which honors and examines the history of UFO research and events in the tarot card format. Sheryl Gottschall has had a life-long interest in the paranormal and began studying the phenomenon of Near Death Experiences (NDEs) in 1980, soon after becoming a member of the International Association of Near Death Studies (IANDs). In 1995 she hosted IANDS co-founder, Dr Ken Ring while he was on tour in Australia presenting research for his future book Mindsight: Near Death and Out Of Body Experiences In The Blind. Little did she know she would experience an NDE for herself the following year during a serious decade long illness. Sheryl’s interest in NDEs paralleled her interest in UFOs, so in 1988 she joined the Brisbane based organisation, UFO Research Queensland (Australia). At that time the organization was soon overrun with ever growing reports of alien abduction experiences so in 1992 Sheryl, with her late husband Dr Martin Gottschall, established the first close encounter support group in Brisbane which they facilitated over the years, on and off, as needs arose. Expanding her interest in the UFO subject and the move towards disclosure, Sheryl was invited to fill the role of the Australian representative for the International Association of Extra-terrestrial Research (ICER) which launched in May 2021, and is the first truly international group of UFO researchers from 30 countries working together. Sheryl loves media and has been a weekly guest on the Spooky Action radio show (2018), co-hosted the Strange Encounters radio show (2019), the Insomnia radio show 2022 (current) and now co-hosts the fortnightly show – Strange Encounters Downunder.
