Night Shyamalan's The Village in 2004! For nearly 20 years I thought I had seen some early cut of that film that was just poorly edited! I was losing my mind and nobody I talked to knew what I was talking about. Now today for the first time I'm learning that this was likely a very isolated incident caused by some poor underpaid projectionist at my local single screen theater.  Thank you so much for sharing that story and reminding me of this experience I had so long ago.
