The reason i jump movie which will be released in 2021 from the book by the same name. This is the first look! As an Autistc man This is very exciting to see a book of this calibre turn into a movie about. From the get go this looks more like a documentary type of film which displays the story of the young man who has written the book the reason I jump but also shows different stories from other people who are on the spectrum and their struggles and issues. There is heavy focus on parents and what parents are trying to do in the struggle to help their children in their lives with autism. Ultimately I think that this film is going to be a good eye-opener for so many people because it has such an insight from there autistic persons point of view but also shows a lot of how the parents can sometimes struggle with these issues. Can a hearing test identify autism in babies? Find out right now. It is a known fact that auditory senses are experienced differently for autistic people to non-autistic people. So researchers at the university of Miami and Harvey’s Medical School explored responses to the standard hearing test administered to millions of newborns around the world. They suggest that they are close to a way to detect early indicators of autism in children even as early as at birth. Now this is a fascinating story and, an interesting way to test for autism. The research team analyzed nearly 140,000 auditory recordings from babies born in Florida and matched the data with records from the Florida Department of Education indicating children with developmental disabilities. This is how games can help children with autism communicate and learn social skills. There is approximately 2 percent of the worlds population that are on the autism spectrum. This impacts the persons social and communication aspects of their life and can cause major difficulties. But the answers to helping these issues may lay in video games. The seminal child psychologist Piaget (1955), suggests that play behaviours allow for a child to engage with emerging cognitive skills. Pretend play, for instance, will enable children to learn concepts such as false belief, and more structured turn-taking board games teach reciprocity and strategy. Also, when a person is playing with another player in a competitive or cooperative game, the experience allows them to practice and develop a range of skills including communication, perspective-taking, emotional regulation, emotional recognition, and sportsmanship. Also, they are engaging in shared attention and joint action with other social agents, as all players are focused on the same activity and must mutually contribute to the completion of the game. A study suggests that, learning and playing games are a cornerstone in child development, allowing children to form independent relationships with one another. Holidays and Christmas are a big adjustment for children with autism. The COVID-19 pandemic and the holiday season may create increased stresses for children on the autism spectrum. Think about creating a visual calendar with what activities will happen when; clearly communicating the challenges the person with autism is facing to family and friends so things do not get worse; and a gradual decorating of the house. This time of year can be stressful for children with autism as it is, let alone a global pandemic. Change is a usual thing that happens at this time of year with Christmas and everything but due to the COVID-19 pandemic there are larger changes that are difficult for children with autism. Not seeing certain family members, or going to certain places may be super difficult for an autistic child to understand. They key is make plans and visual boards so your child can see what is happening when during this Christmas period.

Are you this bad at fine motor skills and autism? This is how bad I am and I am really struggling with it! Fine motor skills can be very difficult to deal with when you’re on the autism spectrum, comes with part of the autism diagnosis this can be a very difficult thing to deal with I personally struggle with fine motor skills by putting keys into doors using my insecurity to pick small objects up and trying to do buttons and shoelaces. This issue with fine motor skills as one of the main reasons why I tend to use slip on shoes or elasticated shoelaces rather than traditional shoelaces. Issues with motor skills are there are people on the autism spectrum and I am trying my best to come up with ways to help overcome having such issues with fine motor skills. In this video I’m exploring some of my personal insight and some of the ways in which I am trying to help myself overcome having issues with fine motor skills through practice and fine motor skills activities.
