The nation's oldest national park remains closed after massive flooding forced the evacuation of at least 10,000 tourists from Yellowstone Park. But no evacuation was more dramatic than this one: A pregnant woman was there on vacation, and her mother went to extreme heights to get her to safety. And one of the 31 neo-Nazis arrested outside a Pride parade in Idaho is getting some tough love from his mother. She says she is horrified he’s a part of the far-right group, so she gave him an ultimatum: get out of the group or get out of her house. Plus, they say one never knows the private battles someone is fighting…and that goes for superstar actor Bradley Cooper. And every now and then fans are reminded that baseball is played outdoors.   To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. It was a horrific accident: a mom and her baby mowed down in an alley by a driver. The video is tough to watch, and now the sentence handed down to the young offender is tough for some to understand, especially the mom who was sent flying in the air. He will do only a few months at a youth detention camp, fueling the charge that the local district attorney is soft on crime. And it’s a bucket list destination for many; spectacular Yellowstone Park. Right now, no one can visit because all entrances are blocked due to torrential flooding, and some tourists were actually trapped 'inside' the park when the bridge washed away. Plus, just hours after wowing the audience at the Tony Awards, actor Hugh Jackman is out of commission. He's tested positive for covid for the second time, but Jackman says the show must go on. And she was married to Hunter Biden for more than twenty years, and now she's breaking her silence. Here's what she had to say in her first TV interview.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. She came out the loser in the defamation suit with her ex-husband Johnny Depp and now Amber Heard is speaking about her day in court. Although she was hit with a $10 million judgment...in her first interview since the trial, Heard says she doesn't blame the jury. And hearings of the January 6th Committee resumed today with the focus on election night 2020 - ground zero for the “big lie” that somehow the election had been stolen from Donald Trump. The hearing opened with videotaped depositions of Trump's advisers claiming he had declared a premature victory at the urging of Rudy Giuliani - they also claim the former mayor of New York was intoxicated, which he denies. Plus, while the hearings have brought the threat of militia groups into the spotlight - over the weekend cops say another riot was thwarted. And Justin Bieber just revealed he has something called Ramsay Hunt syndrome, and he says he is hopeful his facial paralysis will improve. We spoke with an expert about his prognosis. There were plenty of headlines from day one of the House hearings investigating the January 6th assault on the Capitol, all supporting the idea that President Trump bore responsibility for the worst attack on the Capitol since the British invasion in the war of 1812. Among all the revelations, when Donald Trump’s daughter and advisor Ivanka said under oath that she accepted the conclusion that the 2020 election was not rigged....now the former president is lashing out in response. And 42 years is a long time to know nothing about your past…but this woman named Holly has just learned about hers…and it is gruesome. Ann Mercogliano with details on the parents she never knew because of the terrible fate they encountered when she was just a baby. Plus, the just released 911 tapes from the arrest of the man charged with attempted murder of Justice Brett Kavanaugh raise more questions than they answer. Apparently when he saw Marshalls outside the Kavanaugh house, the suspect got cold feet. But rather than just walk away, he called the cops on himself. And going anywhere this summer? Get ready for long lines and lots of delays. As Steven Fabian reports, this year when you pack…be sure to bring along some extra patience. The House Committee investigating the January 6th assault on the US Capitol holds its first hearings tonight. And they'll be broadcast live on the big 3 broadcast networks, giving Americans a chance to watch as lawmakers try to determine who was behind the attack on the Capitol and efforts to overturn the election. Les Trent has our look ahead. And on the eve of the House Committee hearings, President Biden did something he doesn’t often do. He sat down for a one-on-one interview, this time, with Jimmy Kimmel. Plus, it was a terrifying situation; two people out on the water when their boat starts to sink. They call the cops, but they weren't exactly sure where they were located. That's when Steven Fabian says FaceTime came to the rescue. And the iconic Spanish Steps in Rome were built 300 years ago, and now a thoughtless American tourist has damaged them by throwing her scooter down the staircase. The nation is understandably focused on guns and school shootings...and this 10-year-old boy was paraded in front of the media after cops say he sent threatening messages to another student....is caught right in the middle. He's still in custody and although his dad doesn’t deny the little boy talked of guns - he says it was the stupid humor of a child. Now, he's speaking exclusively with Inside Edition. And a 26-year-old California man is in custody today after being arrested just outside the home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh early this morning. Police say he was planning to kill the justice and then turn his gun on himself. Jim Moret has more on the situation. Plus, another attack on the commuter rails...this time in Chicago where a man was pushed onto the tracks and hit the dangerous electrified third rail. But an incredibly brave bystander rushed to save him and he's alive thanks to that heroic act. And the jury ruled his way…and that may be all Johnny Depp wanted after all. Les Trent on the widespread speculation that the actor may be considering forgiving Amber Heard of that $10 million judgement she owes him.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Teachers around the country are taking to social media to show how they plan to keep their kids safe…should the no longer unthinkable happen at their school. Meantime, one teacher who survived the carnage in Uvalde is livid over the police response there. And most of us associate ziplines with the outdoors. However, indoor ziplining is increasingly popular. But when this mom took her little daughter to an indoor zipline course...it nearly ended in disaster. Plus, as more people hit the beach, we are hearing more reports of sharks getting really close to shore. Some of them at the most popular beaches in America. Steven Fabian has more. And It's been two and a half years since a volcano in New Zealand erupted…killing 22 and wounding 47 tourists. Now, one survivor of the blast is revealing her difficult road to recovery. A grandfather and his four grandsons were slain shortly after they arrived at their vacation cabin for what they thought would be a wonderful weekend of family fun. The killer was a convict who was on the run after escaping from a prison bus. Now hard questions are being asked...was enough warning given to alert people that the convict could be in the area. And we're learning more about the suspect who is charged with breaking into a judge's home then hog-tying him to a chair before shooting him to death. Today, a federal judge whose son was killed in a revenge slaying is calling for greater protection for judges. Plus, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are back in California after joining the rest of the world in celebrating the remarkable 70-year-long reign of Queen Elizabeth. However, Harry and Meghan's somewhat hasty departure is once again raising questions about their relationship with the royal family. And the MTV Movie and TV Awards has a reputation of being one of the wildest on television. And this year's show didn't disappoint...including a pretty wild red carpet.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.
