It was supposed to be a tough-talking message from Homeland Security Chief, Kristi Noem, from inside El Salvador’s most notorious mega-prison. However,  it's the $50,000 Rolex on her wrist that ended up in the headlines. And imagine your wedding is just a few weeks away, and you end up being rushed to the hospital with a broken nose and other injuries. It happened to this bride-to-be who was enjoying her bachelorette weekend festivities until a stranger came up and sucker punched her right in the face.  She'll be ok, but as she tells Jim Moret, she's worried she won't heal before her big day. Plus, she was one of the first Latin singers to cross over into the mainstream music scene, then the world was shocked when Selena was shot and killed by the manager of her fan club when she was just 23. This week her murderer was up for parole, but it was denied - which is good news to Selena’s still heartbroken family. And the woman dubbed an evil stepmother accused of locking her stepson in a small storage space for twenty years was back in court today. For the first time we are learning how her stepson is feeling, as Steven Fabian reports, as he recovers from the alleged abuse he's questioning why his stepmother is not behind bars. The stepmother pled not guilty. To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. A man enters a home with a loaded rifle and paces around the living room yelling... scaring a mom and her baby who were home alone. Cops took the man into custody, but what has the mom outraged is the fact he's back at his home which is right on her street! The intruder is charged with 2 counts of burglary and assault.   He's due in court next Tuesday. And they desperately tried to save him. That's the word from a doctor whose E-M-S team rushed to a resort in Costa Rica where a former New York Yankee star's 14-year-old son was unresponsive. He says the team unsuccessfully performed CPR for 30 minutes. It's the most detail we've heard yet about the teen's death, which has been shrouded in mystery.  Plus, drama continues over President Trump's top national security advisors planning out the strike in Yemen on a group chat that inadvertently included a journalist. Now the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, is under fire - with a Democratic congressman asking if he had been drinking before the chat. Now, Republicans are hitting back. And we're learning more about the murders of four University of Idaho students in their off-campus house. Prosecutors say accused killer Bryan Kohberger disguised himself in a mask showing only his eyes. That could end up being the smoking gun in the case. Kohberger, whose trial is set for August, has pleaded not guilty.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. She's the woman being called an evil stepmother - accused of locking up her stepson in a crawl space for 20 years. Today she was swarmed by news crews as she arrived to court. But what came as a huge surprise was this - the biological mother of the man who was allegedly held captive showing up, speaking on camera for the first time, saying she loves the son she gave up for adoption as a baby. The stepmother is expected to plead not guilty. Her lawyer claims her stepson could have left the house any time he wanted. And more hearings in Washington today about what even President Trump admits is the first mistake of his administration - his top national security advisors planning out the strike in Yemen on a group chat, that also included a journalist. More of the texts were released today and they are filled with emojis, leading some to say it sounds more like teenagers texting than government officials. Plus, a couple is being held in a maximum-security prison in Mexico - but they're not drug lords- they're a couple from Michigan who went on a family vacation and ended up under arrest all because of a dispute over a time share. Their daughter says they are innocent and have wrongly been held hostage for more than three weeks. And now a mystery in Hawaii - did a respected doctor try to murder his wife in one of the most scenic tourist spots in the aloha state? Authorities say the anesthesiologist tried to push her off a hiking trail and even hit her in the head with a rock... then left her for dead. What makes it more shocking is the fact it was her birthday. So, the question now is, will heads roll? And Mother Nature unleashed a monster hailstorm in Texas... and one woman and her mom were trapped in their car as the hail smashed right through their sunroof. Plus, a fun day for a family at a Six Flags theme park ended in horror. A 22-year-old ended up suffering a fatal brain injury after riding a popular rollercoaster. A lawsuit filed by the family claims the attraction jerked its riders around like rag dolls. In court papers, Six Flags deny the allegations. And a major blow to March Madness as a star player for USC suffers a painful injury on the court. A couple was out enjoying dinner, eating ribs... and at one point you can see the man take a wad of his girlfriend's hair and put it on the food. The restaurant says it was all a plot to get out of paying the bill. Just moments later he was confronted in the parking lot where he was proposing to his girlfriend! And President Trump took to social media with a big complaint - but it wasn't about government policy- it was over the portrait hanging in the rotunda of Colorado’s state capitol. He wants, what he calls the "distorted" artwork, taken down pronto! Plus, last night Conan O’Brien received the Mark Twain prize for American humor at the Kennedy Center. It’s one of the last scheduled events at the venue before more Trump friendly performers take center stage, and Conan and other A-list comedians couldn't help but take one last dig at the president. And back in the 90's he was dubbed America’s dad, starring on the hit series 7th Heaven... then, Stephen Collins career imploded after he admitted he was sexually inappropriate with underage girls.
