#STSNation, Welcome to another episode of Surviving The Survivor, the podcast that brings you the #BestGuests in all of True Crime… Just three weeks after Donna Adelson’s murder trial unexpectedly unraveled when her lead lawyer withdrew, the judge presiding over the case ordered that her two new attorneys can’t represent her either. Leon Circuit Judge Stephen Everett on Monday issued an order disqualifying Robert “Alex” Morris and Adam Komisar over actual and potential conflicts of interest. The order marked another twist in the murder of Dan Markel, the 41-year-old Florida State law professor and father of two who was fatally shot at his home on July 18, 2014. The two hired killers, an accomplice and Adelson’s son, Charlie Adelson, have all been convicted on murder charges in the years since. #BestGuests: R. Mark Davidson started his career as a prosecutor straight out of law school in 1994 as an Assistant District Attorney in Tennessee He began prosecuting cases in Tipton County, and within a year became the one and only prosecutor in Lauderdale County. Gen. Davidson later went to work for the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office handling criminal cases on appeal and eventually death penalty cases. He was able to return to the District Attorney’s Office in 2011. He was then elected District Attorney in August of 2018. Chris Lomax is the Managing Attorney at Lomax Legal. He began his career with the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice over a decade ago, and soon established a stellar reputation for taking on and winning complex, difficult cases in jurisdictions across the nation. Gordon Institute for Public Policy at Florida International University (FIU). She serves as the Director of Prosecution Projects, overseeing technical assistance, training, and community engagement efforts around the field of prosecution. Dr. Garrison earned a Psy.D. in clinical psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology (GSPP).
