It’s been a busy week in the NHL, and it’s only going to get busier! After Frank Seravalli exploded hockey Twitter with Seattle Kraken draft news on Wednesday morning, he and Jason Gregor are back with a brand new episode of The DFO Rundown. They dove into the Kraken’s expansion draft right off the bat, breaking down a few picks and their overall thoughts. The most focus of the show, however, was the NHL Draft. In today’s episode, they were joined by Brad Allen from the hockeyprospect.com. Brad brought a ton of information with him and gave us an excellent perspective on what this draft could become. It was truly a wild weekend around the NHL with some big trades and expansion lists being released! Jason Gregor and Frank Seravalli have a brand new episode of The DFO Rundown and they dug right into what they think the Seattle Kraken will do this week. They both did their own mock expansion draft and shared the results with each other live on the podcast!   The guys picked all 30 players that they think could end up with the NHL's 32nd franchise and only agreed on 11 in total. The debates were very good and on top of that, Frank had a lot of inside information and shared what he's hearing from around the league. We are now just under a week away from the NHL's expansion draft and teams are starting to make moves to put themselves in a good spot before they lose a player to the Seattle Kraken. It's really just the tip of the iceberg and there are no doubt more big moves to come, so we decided to bring NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman onto the podcast to give us the latest on what he's hearing from around the league.   Before getting to Friedman, Jason Gregor and Frank Seravalli talked about the big news from the past week including the Minnesota Wild buying out Ryan Suter and Zach Parise. They also touched on the goaltending market and talked about the likelihood of some big-name American-born free agents signing in Canada.   With Friedman, they started by talking about the idea of tampering and how teams are potentially bending the rules a little ahead of free agency. Welcome into a brand new episode of The DFO Rundown from The Wood Jerseys Studio! Frank and Jason started this week's podcast off by talking about some players who could potentially be traded ahead of next week's expansion draft. They also got into a pretty passionate debate about the NHL/CHL agreement that needs to be renegotiated this offseason.   Before getting to their guest of the week, Frank gave his take on Nikita Kucherov's new t-shirts that he's been rocking during the Lightning Stanley Cup celebrations.   They went on to welcome Detroit Red Wings beat reporter Kevin Allen to the pod. Kevin broke down how GM Steve Yzerman will handle the upcoming offseason. The Red Wings are certainly still rebuilding, but the focus now is on making the team better and Yzerman has a lot of cap space to make that happen. They also talked about soon-to-be free agent Tony DeAngelo and had some fun with the Nikita Kucherov press conference.   They also welcomed Michael Russo of The Athletic, who covers the Minnesota Wild, into the Wood Jerseys Studio!
