Welcome to another episode of The DFO Rundown with Frank Seravalli and Jason Gregor! In today’s episode, Frank and Jason are joined by Seattle Kraken reporter Ryan Clark from The Athletic. They dove into everything around the Kraken’s expansion draft, so if you too are doing a mock draft a day, this is an episode you won’t want to miss. They spoke about several different scenarios, including who Tampa Bay will lose, how Duncan Keith affects everything, and the possibility of Seattle taking pending UFA’s. Before the interview begins, Frank and Jason address the tragic death of Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks. Another new episode of The DFO Rundown is here to kick off your long weekend! This week Frank and Jason weren't joined by a guest and instead, went around the NHL to talk about the latest breaking stories and trade rumours. Of course, you have to start with the Stanley Cup Final, where the Habs find themselves heading home down 2-0. Gregor is definitely more down on the Canadiens than Frank, who argued that they still have a shot in this series.   From there, we had a new edition of 'Frankly Speaking' where Frank gave some strong thoughts on the Chicago Blackhawks. From there, they talked about the Duncan Keith trade rumours and then dug into some other big names that could be on the trade market. A new episode of The DFO Rundown is here! To start this week's episode, Jason brings in a travelling Frank Seravalli, who is on the road covering the Stanley Cup Final. Frank is starting to buy into the Canadiens hype heading into their series against Tampa Bay while Jason still believes it will be the Lightning who comes out on top. They also touched on the Jack Eichel situation and Frank dropped one team that has been increased their interest in the Sabres star forward.   They then welcomed in Katie Strang from The Athletic, who has been covering the allegations of sexual abuse against the Chicago Blackhawks. The NHL has been quiet on the topic, something that may change soon, but Katie shone some light on what really should be the biggest story in hockey and one of the biggest stories in sports. Happy Friday! We are back with another episode of The DFO Rundown! There was some big news this week as Frank is joining Daily Faceoff full time! The podcast started with Frank and Jason talking about the big news before getting into the hockey talk. Fresh off the Habs game six victory, they touched on who's the better matchup for the Canadiens in the Cup Final. They were also joined by Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin, who recently won the Lady Byng Award!    With Jaccob, they talked about how much winning the Lady Byng award means, looked back at the season he had with the Canes, the impact of Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour, and the popular storm surge celebrations!    Also on the pod, they brought in producer Tyler Yaremchuk for a new round of Buy/Sell where they touched on the Conn Smythe award, some pending free agents (Nuge, Hall, Landeskog), Rick Tocchet, and some trade targets in Arizona! The storylines coming out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs are neverending. From officiating to goaltending to COVID protocols, the last few days have given us plenty to talk about. Jason and Frank talked about all of that today on The DFO Rundown. On top of that, to really break down the goaltending position, they welcomed Kevin Woodley from In Goal Magazine to the Wood Jerseys Studio.   With Woodley, they talked about the Golden Knight's decision to go with Robin Lehner for game four against Montreal and if Marc-Andre Fleury will bounce back before the playoffs are over. They also dug into the way that NHL teams are changing how they handle young goaltenders before touching on the upcoming expansion draft and talked about who the Kraken could look to take. It was fitting that after that, they welcomed Columbus Blue Jackets Head Coach Brad Larsen to the Wood Jerseys Studio! Larsen talked about finally getting a chance to be an NHL bench boss after years of working the AHL and with the Blue Jackets as an Assistant Coach.
