Philadelphia Flyers legendary enforcer and the original Broad Street Bully Dave "The Hammer" Schultz joined us at Ice Line for a live show! Dave talked to us about his new book, starting hockey, going from a “mommy’s boy” to playing junior hockey, his start in the Flyers organization, how he started fighting, and where he got his nickname from. Moving along The Hammer tells us about his trade from Philadelphia, Scotty Bowman sending him to the minors, playing the role of an enforcer, the money players made then vs now, and coaching after his playing days. Wrapping up Schultz rants about Bobby Clarke, shares some crazy stories about one of his enforcers Link Gaetz, finding God, and talks more about his book.
