Mind Over Anxiety and Phobias

Anxiety isn't "just in your head." In this episode, I explain anxiety (in Germanic Healing Knowledge / German New Medicine) as a constellation of frontal fear conflicts:

  • powerlessness (helpless, "someone needs to do something"), and
  • moving into danger (something coming at you, or you rushing toward something—sometimes as simple as an upcoming event on your calendar).

When this constellation is intense, it can drive anxiety attacks. If it combines with a fear-from-behind, that triggers a panic attack.

Phobias result from "tracks," when you have an anxiety or panic attack, and your brain stores environmental details as a powerful "alarm track" so that when you're noticing a similar future situation, your system launches same response.

You'll hear how this special biological program is connected with the frontal relays (above your eyes), and why racing thoughts and overanalysis aren't the cause of anxiety—they are the anxiety: a biological strategy meant to make you smarter in the face of perceived threat.

Then we go to the practical pivot: resolving anxiety by taking charge consciously—reconnecting with your essential self and asking:

"What do I care very much about and don't want to lose?"

From there, you can flip the "what if something bad happens" loop into the imaginative question: "What if something good happens?"
