  1. Cool the body, not just the room: Take a quick, lukewarm shower (not ice-cold!) before bed. The gentle drop in your core body temperature acts as a natural biological signal telling your brain it is time to sleep.
  2. Let your feet breathe: Slip one or both feet out from beneath the covers. The soles of your feet are excellent at releasing body heat. Always opt for natural cotton bedding over synthetic sheets for maximum breathability.
  3. Keep your sleep routine even in summer: Long, bright summer evenings can trick your mind into staying up later. Dim your indoor lights an hour before bed and keep your bedtime steady to satisfy your body clock's love for rhythm.
