Sl: Sonce je zlato obsijalo univerzitetni kampus, poln študentov iz celega sveta.
En: The sun shone golden over the university campus, full of students from around the world.

Sl: Anže, mladi Slovenec, je stal ob robu množice, medtem ko so novi prijatelji poleti uživali.
En: Anže, a young Slovenian, stood on the edge of the crowd while new friends enjoyed the summer.

Sl: Z mešanimi občutki je opazoval, kako ljudje izmenjujejo lepe zgodbe in še lepše smehe.
En: With mixed feelings, he watched as people exchanged beautiful stories and even more beautiful laughs.

Sl: Bilo je težko.
En: It was difficult.

Sl: Domotožje ga je stiskalo kot težak nahrbtnik.
En: Homesickness weighed on him like a heavy backpack.
