Trial Of Caleb Flynn Day 4: Alleigha Botner Says WHAT About Caleb’s Messages?!

The Caleb Flynn trial turned back to the private messages between Flynn and Alleigha Botner, who testified about their relationship and the communications prosecutors presented to the jury in the case over Ashley Flynn’s death. Botner read one February 2025 message she attributed to Caleb: “I need her to die, leave, or cheat again.”

Botner testified that she had also sent Flynn instructions explaining how to delete messages if a divorce led to their communications being subpoenaed. In another exchange read to the jury, Botner asked what he wanted her to do and testified that Flynn replied, “Kill Douche.”

She continued through messages contained in 34 books collected between them, including exchanges in which she testified that Caleb said he hated Ashley and wanted her dead. The prosecution also played videos Botner identified as having been sent by Caleb.

Flynn has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him in the killing of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Prosecutors allege he staged the Tipp City home to look like a burglary. His defense maintains a home invader killed Ashley and that investigators settled on Caleb too quickly.

Botner is due back on the stand Thursday, so the jury has not yet heard the end of her testimony or the defense response to the full set of messages.
