Male Perspective: How men experience baby loss & the impact at work

Male Perspective: How men experience baby loss & the impact at work

TRIGGER WARNING: This episode deals with discussions of in/fertility and/or baby loss.

--
On this episode we’ll hear a perspective we haven’t covered so far on the podcast, the male experience of baby loss and fertility challenges within a heterosexual couple.

We’ve found that men are often reluctant to share this part of the in/fertility story, so we were delighted when Jonathan Crompton stepped forward to join us on the show.

Jonathan and his wife have sadly faced both the frustration of fertility issues and the heartbreak of miscarriage.

Their experience has made Jonathan determined to advance the support available in the workplace for those on an in/fertility journey, and particularly to encourage men to speak openly about these matters and feel they are able to do so without fear or prejudice.

Guest bio: Jonathan is a Disputes and Regulatory Partner at RPC in Hong Kong. Having trained in London, he moved to Asia in 2008 and has worked across the region for 14 years. As part of an international, cross-cultural family on its own fertility journey, he is keen to encourage a more open environment for conversations about fertility issues and to lift the lid on the male perspective of pregnancy loss and other fertility challenges.
