Topics covered : The damage of shame, body confidence, libido, porn, sexual trauma.

This week I speak to Ireland’s only clinical sexologist, Emily Power Smith.

In this episode, we discuss our relationship with sexuality here in Ireland, we talk about body confidence, sex drive, porn and we’ll also delve into a few of the questions that were sent in on Instagram which had a lot of common themes, I hope by listening to these episodes that you’ll feel a little less alone in your experience and that you find Emily’s advice helpful.

And Emily and I are joining a stellar line-up of 16 international speakers - including medical and scientific experts - at the Menopause Success Summit 2021, a 1-day virtual event on Saturday September 25th - click here for more info…

Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian : A New Chapter awaits

Brian and Arthur are my wonderful guests this week.Brian has already had a hugely successful career in television over the past two decades. He went from being a flight attendant to winning Big Brother, the biggest reality TV show of the time, in 2001. And since then he’s presented a whole host of high profile TV shows mainly in the UK but also here in Ireland. His husband Arthur, a proud Armenian; is a world class choreographer and creative director, who has worked artists like…Beyonce, Girls Aloud, Kylie, The Pussycat dolls…to name but a few! They’ve both felt the deep pain of losing a parent. Arthur’s Dad died when he was 16 and Brian’s Mum passed away suddenly, only 2 years ago.We sat down to have a chat in January, a few shows into the most recent season of Dancing with the Stars on RTE and in this conversation, Brian gives us a beautiful insight into his Mum Rosie; they talk about the importance of setting boundaries and finding balance, their relationship and also their plans to have a family. They have such a beautiful perspective on life and I think it's obvious when you hear this that I’m mad about them both. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
