CFP quarterfinal previews: Oregon disrespected? Georgia in QB trouble & pressure on for Penn State

The College Football Playoff quarterfinals are this week on New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day. Caroline Fenton & Jason Fitz deep dive into each matchup to share keys to success, picks, predictions and more. Boise State carries the weight of every G5 school as they take on Penn State, who might just have even MORE pressure piled on them as they strive to prove they can win big games when it counts. On paper, Texas should beat Arizona State with their dominant defense, but can they overcome offensive errors to knock Cam Skattebo & ASU out of the playoffs?

The most anticipated game of the quarterfinal slate is without a doubt Ohio State vs. Oregon. Despite being the no. 1 team in the country, all the talk seems to be about Ohio State rather than Oregon. Are the Ducks getting disrespected when all they’ve done is win? Elsewhere in the CFP, Georgia fans seem convinced that Stockton will lead the Bulldogs better than Carson Beck has, but can we really expect a quarterback making their first start to hold up against Notre Dame’s defense?
