14. Talking to Kids about Surrogacy with Special Guests... Our Kids!

This is our favorite episode of all time!! The first half of this episode features Cathey's children, Ruthie (6 yo) and Samson Stoner (4 yo), who answer questions about their mom being a surrogate. Get ready for cuteness overload!! It shows their true nature, but also the pure innocence and goodness in children. It's fascinating to see a child's reaction to the surrogacy process. We love how they simplify it all. They really don't judge or question too much! The second half of this episode is all about our approach to discussing surrogacy with our families. Sarah discusses how they talk to Charlotte, her 4-year-old daughter who knows her brother is growing in Aunt Cathey's tummy! She makes a quick debut as well while Sarah sheds light on how they talk to her at home throughout the pregnancy. Sarah & Cathey dive into why they believe honesty is the best policy and that our kids understand more than we give them credit for.
