Update and feedback, míle buíochas

A quick update about Ready to be Real...I'm taking a break for the summer, but I’ll be back again in the autumn.

Thanks so much for your continued support, it means so much to me and thanks also to my amazing guests who made these conversations possible.

The past ten months have been intense — full of meaningful work (I've been working on a documentary series) and the juggle of modern life — so I haven’t been as consistent with the pod as I would’ve liked. That said, the episodes I have released have been powerful.

With over 200 conversations available, there’s plenty to revisit — from thought-provoking, emotional discussions to unforgettable chats with incredible guests like photographer and activist Misan Harriman and the one and only Dr. Gabor Maté.

We’ve tackled everything from grief, addiction, and coercive control, to menopause, adolescence, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

These are honest, human conversations — some might challenge you, and many will stay with you long after you’ve listened to them.

If you have any feedback for me, guest suggestions, or topics you'd love me to explore when I'm back, please do get in touch — DM me on Instagram 𝗦í𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗼𝗶𝗴𝗲 (@sileseoige) • Instagram photos and videos or drop an email to hello@readytobereal.com

Have a lovely summer, and I’ll chat to you again in September — more organised than ever, with weekly episodes you can rely on.

And as always...Saoirse don Phalaistín.

Numerology : A beginner's guide

Numerology : A beginner's guide

This episode is an introduction to Numerology with John Kenny, someone who’s been studying numbers and their meaning, for over 30 years now.He talks about the master numbers, what to look out for and what to avoid doing when it comes to numbers. He also tells us how to figure out our life path, personal year and inner need numbers, while also answering some questions I was sent on Instagram as well. As you’ll hear in our chat, it’s tricky to give a comprehensive run down of all the different elements in a single podcast, but if you’d like to contact him and book in a session, simply go to his website…https://www.thehealinghouse.ie/How to find out your Life Path Number…Take your date of birth’s numerical value, add all those digits together by category (day, month, year), and keep adding each of those digits together until you finally end up with a single digit.Let’s take my birthday for example: 13th April 1979The date, 13, is reduced to 1 + 3 = 4. The month is 4. The year, 1979, is reduced to 1 + 9 + 7 + 9. This equals 26. Then, 26 is reduced to 2 + 6 = 8Then, we add the reduced date, month and year numbers (4 + 4 + 8) and arrive at 16. Finally, we add 1 + 6, and reach 7.My life path number is 7.Exception - during the calculation process, if one of your groups totals 11 or 22, you do not reduce those values to a single digit until the final reduction. That’s because 11 and 22 are “master numbers,” according to numerology, which have their own special meanings. ** There have been a few edits to this episode as John often spoke to me about my own numbers and their meaning during our conversation and I took a lot of that out as I didn’t think many of you would be interested in hearing about me!
