Tia-Clair Toomey & Shane Orr Talk About Pregnancy, PRVN & the 2023 CrossFit Games Season

Tia-Clair Toomey and Shane Orr joined the podcast where we talked about Tia's pregnancy, how she wanted to compete at the Rogue Invitational and even thought she might be able to compete at the 2023 CrossFit Games! Shane shares how PRVN has grown over the years and how the couple has built a team of athletes and staff in Nashville, TN. PRVN's athletes include Brooke Wells, Sydney Wells, Will Moorad, Saxon Panchik, Nick Mathew, Nicole Burke, Teen Games champion RJ Mestre, plus a few more who are joining soon. Shane and Tia also share insight into their home gym in Australia. Shane says he just asked for a small 3-person rig for their pole barn back in Australia, but Bill and Caity Henniger of Rogue Fitness bumped it up a notch and helped design the ultimate "garage gym". As for Tia's pregnancy, the couple plans to have their baby in the United States if all works out. However, they do have a contingency plan to return to Australia if needed. Tia said the pregnancy itself is going well, but that it has been somewhat of a mental struggle knowing she won't compete this year. Even after finding out that she was pregnant, Tia thought it would be possible to try to compete in 2023 before realizing that would be a bad idea. So now Tia is enjoying some downtime and helping where she can, especially on the encouragement side, for the rest of the PRVN crew.
