Welcome to episode 128 of the Sexology Podcast! Today is a solo episode where I speak more in depth about talking to your kids about sex.

In this episode, you will hear:

  • Learning how to communicate the subject of sex to your child
  • The importance of talking about your values
  • Understanding that children are naturally curious about sex
  • The common sexual behaviours between child age groups
  • Be comfortable in using the correct names and terminology around sex
  • The importance of teaching them about personal boundaries
  • Providing clear information around safety
  • Having a good dialogue about sex on the internet
  • Understanding the importance of not providing negative information around body changes
  • Talking about basic self-contraception
  • Having a continued discussion around masturbation and consent
  • Explaining the various different sexual interests people will have
