Help My Child Is Acting Entitled!

Help My Child Is Acting Entitled!

When our children act as though the world owes them a favour and they aren't prepared to work at something the alarm bells should be ringing. I'll explain what entitled behaviour is, how we inadvertently create it and what we need to do to fix it.

Here are the highlights:

(1:04) Is my child entitled?

(5:00) What behaviour do you show your children?

(8:09) Are you trying to be a friend or a parent?

(12:05) Bribes enforce entitlement

(14:51) Begin a regular practice of gratitude

(17:00) Praise effort not the outcome

(18:45) Expect your child to contribute to the upkeep at home

(22:31) Encourage your child to concentrate on their behaviour choices
