129: We miss the ROOT of the problem our RUSH to solve it

129: We miss the ROOT of the problem our RUSH to solve it

I noticed over the break the rush to solve something I didn't like seeing with my kids. A quick conversation after being pulled into another room, a fast directive at the dinner table, etc. However, in that rush, I noticed my dysregulation didn't go away, in fact, it amplified as the guilt of not doing it the way I wanted to the first time started to creep in.

In this episode I talk about how my 4 step neural rewiring process works in specific situations. I share what each step looks like in the moment as well as how we can (once we're confidently applying it ourselves) begin to help our children through the same process.

If this is something you'd like to explore as a solution to the challenges you're facing with your own reactivity, please reach out to me. becky@responseableparenting.com
