Early morning reflections

Once, I was an IFBB athlete, a Warrior Elite winner, an OCR World Champion in my age group in the USA, and a provincial powerlifter. I was also a busy mom of three junior elite triathletes, now studying as student‑athletes in the USA.

My life thrived on being busy, on organisation, on control. And then my body and mind just… stopped. No warning. No time to prepare. And with it came life‑altering changes.

This podcast is imperfect — like my life. I’m still learning, still navigating. Some mornings are brutal, others bring small wins. Yesterday it was OT with Dr. Erin, and for once, I felt seen. She noticed the effort, the tiny victories. And that mattered.

Today, I’m tired. The headaches are back. But Shaun’s steady voice, Pinky’s gentle care, and my parents’ words remind me: I am not alone. Progress, even painful progress, is still progress.

Resilience isn’t about bouncing back. It’s about carrying forward — with love, gratitude, and courage. 💙
