Sl: Triglavski narodni park je bil zimska pravljica.
En: Triglavski narodni park was a winter wonderland.

Sl: Sneg je prekrival vrhove in zrak je bil svež.
En: Snow covered the peaks, and the air was fresh.

Sl: Jure, Lana in Matej so stali na začetku poti.
En: Jure, Lana, and Matej stood at the start of the trail.

Sl: Jure si je močno želel osvojiti Triglav, čeprav ga je koleno že nekaj časa bolelo.
En: Jure was eager to conquer Triglav, even though his knee had been hurting for some time.

Sl: Ko so začeli vzpon, je Lana skrbela za Jureta.
En: As they began the ascent, Lana was concerned for Jure.

Sl: "Jure, pazi na koleno," mu je rekla.
En: "Jure, watch your knee," she said to him.

En: I'll go ahead," he smiled and quickened his pace.

Sl: Vrhovi Julijskih Alp so bili čudoviti.
En: The peaks of the Julijske Alpe were magnificent.

Sl: S soncem je zasijala snežna odeja in pokrajina je vzela sapo.
En: With the sun shining, the snowy blanket and the landscape took one's breath away.

Sl: Jure je kljub bolečini korakal naprej.
En: Despite the pain, Jure marched on.

Sl: Veter je postal močnejši, pot strmejša.
En: The wind became stronger, the path steeper.

Sl: Jure je začel čutiti hudo bolečino v kolenu.
En: Jure began to feel intense pain in his knee.

Sl: Poskušal je ignorirati, a ni šlo.
En: He tried to ignore it, but he couldn't.

Sl: Vsak korak ga je pekel.
En: Every step burned.

Sl: Lana je opazila njegovo stisko.
En: Lana noticed his distress.

Sl: "Jure, ustavi se.
En: "Jure, stop.

Sl: Počivaj malo," ga je prosila.
En: Rest a bit," she pleaded with him.

Sl: Jure je trmasto zavrnil, hotel je naprej.
En: Jure stubbornly refused; he wanted to go forward.

Sl: A ko je bila bolečina najhujša, se je skoraj zgrudil.
En: But when the pain was at its worst, he almost collapsed.
