Sl: Tomaž je sedel na trdem stolu v policijski postaji v Ljubljani.
En: Tomaž was sitting on a hard chair at the police station in Ljubljana.

Sl: Fluorescentne luči so mrzlo sijale po prostoru, v zraku pa je prijetno dišalo po sveže skuhani kavi.
En: The fluorescent lights coldly shone across the room, while the air was pleasantly scented with freshly brewed coffee.

Sl: Zunaj je bilo zgodnje pomladno jutro hladno, vendar obetajoče.
En: Outside, the early spring morning was cold, yet promising.

Sl: Pogledal je okoli in opazil ljudi, ki so hiteli sem ter tja.
En: He looked around and noticed people hurrying back and forth.

Sl: Vrata so se odprla in vstopila je Maja.
En: The door opened, and Maja entered.

Sl: Njene oči so bile polne radovednosti, njen korak pa odločen.
En: Her eyes were full of curiosity, and her steps were determined.

Sl: Prav tako je prijavila majhen prekršek.
En: She too had reported a minor infraction.

Sl: Usedla se je poleg njega in mu prijazno pokimala.

Sl: Tomaž je občutil rahlo nervozo, a tudi razburjenje.

Sl: Bilo je, kot da se nezavedno približuje začetku pustolovščine, ki si jo je vedno želel.

Sl: Maja je izvlekla zvezek, pripravljena zapisati vsak koristen podatek.

Sl: " Pogledal je svoj odsev v oknu in nadaljeval: "Morda sem danes tu z razlogom.
En: He looked at his reflection in the window and continued, "Maybe I'm here today for a reason."

Sl: "Maja je radovedno dvignila obrv.
En: Maja raised an eyebrow curiously.

Sl: "Jaz iščem zgodbo.
En: "I'm searching for a story.

Sl: Mogoče je ta kraj pravi začetek.
En: Maybe this place is the right beginning."

Sl: "Pogovor je med njima stekel gladko.
En: Their conversation flowed smoothly.

Sl: Delila sta si zgodbe o vsakdanjih dogodivščinah in pripetljajih.
En: They shared stories about everyday adventures and incidents.

Sl: Celo v nelagodju policijske postaje sta našla toplino.
En: Even in the discomfort of the police station, they found warmth.

Sl: Čas je hitel mimo, ko so njuni smehi in besede odmevali po prostoru.

Sl: Tomaž je čutil, kako se običajna skrb in strah po malem topita.

Sl: "Ko sta zapustila policijsko postajo in stopila na svež pomladni zrak Ljubljane, je Tomaž začutil, da se nekaj pomembnega začenja.

Sl: Sprehodila sta se skozi ulice, ob katerih so drevesa začela cveteti.
