El: Καθώς ο ήλιος του Μάη φώτιζε την πόλη, η Ελένη περπάτησε προς το νοσοκομείο.
En: As the sun of May lit up the city, Eleni walked towards the hospital.

El: Οι κερασιές έξω στο δρόμο ήταν ανθισμένες κι ο κόσμος γιόρταζε ακόμα το Πάσχα.
En: The cherry trees on the street were in bloom, and people were still celebrating Easter.

El: Μα εκείνη είχε άλλο στο μυαλό της.
En: But she had something else on her mind.

El: Η γιαγιά της ήταν στο νοσοκομείο.
En: Her grandmother was in the hospital.

El: Η σκέψη της Ελένης όλη την ημέρα ήταν πως θα μπορούσε να της δώσει κουράγιο.
En: Eleni's thought all day was how she could give her courage.

El: Το νοσοκομείο ήταν καθαρό, αλλά χωρίς ζεστασιά.
En: The hospital was clean, but lacked warmth.

En: The light from the lampada made the room a bit warmer.

El: Κείνη τη στιγμή, η γιαγιά γύρισε το κεφάλι της και κοίταξε την Ελένη με κατανόηση.
En: At that moment, her grandmother turned her head and looked at Eleni with understanding.
