Hr: Ljepo ljetno sunce sijalo je nad Ženskom internatom Jurić, starom zgradom prekrivenom bršljanom, smještenom u idiličnoj prirodi.
En: The beautiful summer sun shone over the Ženski internat Jurić, an old building covered in ivy, nestled in idyllic nature.

Hr: Učenice su u slobodno vrijeme sjedile pod visokim stablima i uživale u toplini.
En: The students sat under the tall trees in their free time and enjoyed the warmth.

Hr: Ivana, odlučna i neovisna maturantica, stajala je pred školskim vratima s prijateljicom Katarinom.
En: Ivana, a determined and independent senior, stood in front of the school doors with her friend Katarina.

Hr: "Danas idemo u grad," rekla je Ivana, očiju sjajeći željom.
En: "Today we're going to the city," said Ivana, her eyes shining with desire.

En: She was determined to prove her individuality, even though the school policy was conservative.

Hr: Otišle su u butik u obližnjem gradu.
En: They went to a boutique in the nearby city.

Hr: Ivana razgledava živopisne haljine i svjetlucave topove.
En: Ivana browsed through colorful dresses and sparkling tops.

Hr: Vidjela je svijetle hlače i odmah ih uzela, osjećajući da su savršene za njezin novi izgled.
En: She saw bright trousers and immediately picked them up, feeling they were perfect for her new look.

Hr: "Što misliš, Katarina?" upita Ivana s uzbuđenjem.
En: "What do you think, Katarina?" asked Ivana with excitement.

Hr: "Predivne su! Ali..." Katarina zastane, sjetivši se stroge školske uprave.
En: "They're beautiful! But..." Katarina paused, remembering the strict school administration.

Hr: "Samo pazi na Milana."
En: "Just watch out for Milan."

Hr: Ivana je sljedeći dan ponosno obukla novu odjeću.
En: The next day, Ivana proudly wore her new clothes.

Hr: No, ubrzo je stigla poruka: "Ivana, dođi u ured Milana."
En: But soon a message arrived: "Ivana, come to Milan's office."

Hr: Srce joj je ubrzano kucalo dok je kucala na vrata ureda ravnatelja.
En: Her heart beat rapidly as she knocked on the principal's office door.

Hr: Milan ju je dočekao hladnim pogledom.
En: Milan greeted her with a cold look.

Hr: "Ivana", počeo je strogo, "čuo sam za tvoj novi stil.
En: "Ivana," he began sternly, "I've heard about your new style.

Hr: Znaš pravila. Imaš li što reći?"
En: You know the rules. Do you have anything to say?"

Hr: "Da, gospodine Milane," rekla je Ivana hrabro.

Hr: "Imam pravo izraziti sebe kroz modu. Mislim da možemo biti pojedinci i poštivati školske vrijednosti."
En: "I have the right to express myself through fashion. I think we can be individuals and respect the school's values."

Hr: Milan podigne obrve, iznenađen njezinom smjelošću.
En: Milan raised his eyebrows, surprised by her boldness.

Hr: "I što ti predlažeš?"
En: "And what do you propose?"

Hr: Katarina, koja je pratila svaki trenutak izvan ureda, ušla je, stala uz svoju prijateljicu.
