Sl: Sončni žarki so se igrali z listjem velikih bukev ob Blejskem jezeru, kjer se je Matej ustavil na obronku trave.
En: The sun's rays played with the leaves of the large beeches by Bledsko jezero where Matej stopped at the edge of the grass.

Sl: Pogledal je proti družini, ki se je veselo pogovarjala in smejala.
En: He looked towards the family, who were chatting and laughing merrily.

Sl: Vonj pečenih čevapčičev se je mešal z aromo svežega jezera in poletnega cvetja.
En: The smell of grilled čevapčiči mixed with the aroma of the fresh lake and summer flowers.

Sl: Matej se je počutil kot tujec v tem znanem prizoru – tako domačem, a hkrati odmaknjenem.
En: Matej felt like a stranger in this familiar scene – so homely, yet at the same time detached.

Sl: Nina in Gregor sta se že začela smejati Gregorjevim zgodbam, ki so ga vedno delale priljubljenega.

Sl: "Hvala, Nina," je rekel potiho in ugriznil.
En: "Thanks, Nina," he said quietly and took a bite.

Sl: "Veš, pogrešal sem to.
En: "You know, I've missed this.

Sl: In pogrešal sem vas vse.
En: And I've missed all of you."

Sl: "Nina je pokimala in rekla: "Vem, da ni lahko.
En: Nina nodded and said, "I know it's not easy.

Sl: Ampak mi smo tvoja družina.
En: But we are your family.

Sl: Vedno si del nas.
En: You're always a part of us."

Sl: " Njene besede so imele moč.
