Cy: Drosdo'r stôr yn Farchnad Caerdydd, roedd dagrau Eleri yn amlwg yn y golau.
En: Above the store in Marchnad Caerdydd, Eleri's tears were evident in the light.

Cy: Roedd twrw'r bobl yn y farchnad yn glywadwy fel llais y môr, ond roedd y ddadl rhwng hi a'i brawd, Dafydd, yn ei dal hi.
En: The noise of the people in the market was audible like the voice of the sea, but the argument between her and her brother, Dafydd, held her there.

Cy: Roedd y farchnad yn llawn synhwyrau—persawr bara ffres a siocled a'r synnwyr twym galw.
En: The market was full of sensory experiences—the scent of fresh bread and chocolate and the warm sense of calling.

En: The summer excited the two, full with the spirit of the great duck.

Cy: Ond roedd y frwydr rhwng traddodiad a chynnydd fel cledd a darian yn aros.

En: Dafydd was uncertain, but he was determined to use his business understanding to help.

Cy: "Iawn," atebodd, "gawn ni weld beth allwch chi ei wneud mewn blwyddyn."
En: "Alright," he answered, "let's see what you can do in a year."
