Cy: Roedd yr haul yn llosgi dros ardal anialwch fawr, lle roedd y tywod yn ymestyn cyn belled â'r llygad a allai weld.
En: The sun was scorching over a vast desert area, where the sand stretched as far as the eye could see.

Cy: Roedd Gareth, y chwilotwr trysoriaeth optimistaidd ond ychydig yn anghofus, yn edrych dros y dyffryn.
En: Gareth, the optimistic but somewhat forgetful treasure hunter, was looking over the valley.

Cy: Roedd wedi clywed sôn am hen wrthrych a allai ddod â ffyniant i'w ddarganfyddwr.
En: He had heard rumors of an ancient object that could bring prosperity to its discoverer.

Cy: Ond nid oedd wedi dod o hyd iddo eto.
En: But he hadn't found it yet.

Cy: Roedd Eleri a Dafydd yn cerdded o'i amgylch, eu hwynebau yn llawn pryder, ond hefyd yn ddigon cyndyn i gefnogi eu ffrind.
En: Eleri and Dafydd were walking around him, their faces full of concern, yet still reluctant to abandon their friend.

Cy: Ac yna, digwyddodd rhywbeth annisgwyl.
En: And then, something unexpected happened.

Cy: Dechreuodd storm tywod godi, y gwynt yn udo a'r tywod yn chwipian.
En: A sandstorm began to rise, the wind howling and the sand whipping around.

Cy: "Rhaid inni gysgodi!
En: "We must find shelter!"

Cy: " gwaeddodd Eleri, ond nid oedd Gareth eisiau gadael, oherwydd roedd yn teimlo ei fod ar fin rhywbeth mawr.
En: shouted Eleri, but Gareth didn't want to leave, because he felt he was on the brink of something big.

Cy: Yn sydyn o'r storm, ymddangosodd siâp anhysbys o dan y tywod.
En: Suddenly out of the storm, an unknown shape appeared beneath the sand.

Cy: Clywodd galon Gareth guro yn gyflymach.
En: Gareth's heart began to beat faster.

Cy: Roedd yn cydio yn y cyfle.
En: He seized the opportunity.

Cy: "Rhaid i mi weld beth yw hwnnw!
En: "I must see what that is!"

Cy: " wyliodd.
En: he exclaimed.

Cy: Er gwaetha'r gwynt cryf a'r tywod a oedd yn symud yn gyflym, cafodd Gareth fynediad at y gwrthrych.
En: Despite the strong wind and the rapidly moving sand, Gareth gained access to the object.

Cy: Roedd Eleri a Dafydd yn gwylio, ei dwylo'n grynedig o bryder ond weithiau hefyd o gymeradwyaeth.
En: Eleri and Dafydd watched, their hands trembling with worry but sometimes also with admiration.

Cy: Wrth i'r storm ddechrau dadfeilio, daeth y gwirionedd i'r amlwg.
En: As the storm started to dissipate, the truth came to light.

Cy: Nid rhyw wrthrych chwedlonol mo'r gwrthrych, ond trincyn hen, dibwys.
En: The object wasn't some mythical artifact, but an old, insignificant trinket.

Cy: Cafodd Gareth ychydig o siom yn gyntaf, ond pan ymunodd Eleri a Dafydd gydag ef, eu hwynebau'n hapus iawn, sylweddolodd nad y gwrthrych oedd yr hyn o bwys mwyaf.
En: Gareth felt a bit of disappointment at first, but when Eleri and Dafydd joined him, their faces full of joy, he realized that the object wasn't the most important thing.

En: "The journey is what's important," said Dafydd in a soft voice, gently tapping Gareth's arm.

En: Following this journey with his friends, Gareth recognized the true value of adventure and friendship that came from it.

Cy: Ni fyddai pob camp ond y trysor ei hun, ond nid oedd hynny yn llai gwerthfawr.
En: Not every achievement would be the treasure itself, but that didn't make it any less valuable.

Cy: Roedd wedi dysgu gwers fwy gwerthfawr: bod y daith ei hun, a'i rhannu gydag eraill, yn fwy gwerthfawr nag unrhyw drysor arall a allai ddod o hyd iddo dan y tywod.
En: He had learned a more valuable lesson: that the journey itself, and sharing it with others, is more valuable than any other treasure he could find beneath the sand.

En: And so, as the sun clouded and the sandstorm slowly faded away, they moved on, Gareth smiling with a newfound respect for the perilous journey across the hot desert.
