Story Transcript:

Sl: Matej je stal na obali Blejskega jezera in občudoval mirno gladino vode.
En: Matej stood on the shore of Blejski Lake, admiring the calm surface of the water.

Sl: V zraku je bil vonj po svežem poletnem vetru, ki mu je šepetal obljube naravnih lepot.
En: The air was filled with the scent of a fresh summer breeze that whispered promises of natural beauty.

Sl: Vedel je, zakaj je prišel sem.
En: He knew why he had come here.

Sl: Stran od družinske drame in bližje naravi, ki mu je ponujala tolažbo.
En: Away from family drama and closer to nature that offered him solace.

Sl: Za njim se je po poti sprehajala Tanja, njegova mlajša sestrična.
En: Behind him, Tanja, his younger cousin, was strolling down the path.

Sl: Njene oči so žarele od navdušenja, saj je ves teden načrtovala družinsko srečanje tukaj.

Sl: "Danes bo zabavno.
En: "Today will be fun.

Sl: Imam kar nekaj iger za nas," je rekla Tanja in poskušala prepričati Mateja, naj se pridruži skupinskim aktivnostim.
En: I have quite a few games for us," said Tanja, trying to persuade Matej to join the group activities.

En: When she saw Matej sitting on the dock, swinging his legs over the water, she approached him with a new suggestion.

Sl: "Kaj če bi se z veslačem odpravila na otok?
En: "What if we took a rowboat to the island?

Sl: Samo ti in jaz?
En: Just you and me?"

Sl: "Matej je okleval, a pogled na nádherno jezero in Tanjin iskren nasmeh sta ga prepričala.
En: Matej hesitated, but the sight of the magnificent lake and Tanja's sincere smile convinced him.

Sl: "Prav," je privolil.
En: "Alright," he agreed.

Sl: "A brez pogovorov o družinskih prepirih," je dodal s polovičnim nasmehom.
En: "But no talking about family arguments," he added with a half-smile.

Sl: Ko sta se v čolnu pomikala proti otoku, je vladala tišina, rahlo prekinjena z zvokom vode, ki je trkala ob lesene stranice.
En: As they made their way towards the island in the boat, a silence prevailed, slightly interrupted by the sound of water lapping against the wooden sides.

Sl: Potem pa se je Tanja sklonila naprej in spregovorila: "Matej, vem, da si se oddaljil.
En: Then Tanja leaned forward and spoke: "Matej, I know you've distanced yourself.

Sl: Toda družina je pomembna.
En: But family is important.

Sl: In brez tebe ne bo nikoli popolna.
En: And without you, it will never be complete."

Sl: "Matej je nekaj časa premišljeval o njenih besedah.
En: Matej pondered her words for a while.

Sl: Resnica je bila, da je čutil manjko povezave.
En: The truth was, he felt the lack of connection.

Sl: Potem pa je globoko vdihnil, pogledal Tanjine oči in rekel: "Mogoče imaš prav.
En: Then he took a deep breath, looked into Tanja's eyes, and said, "Maybe you are right.

Sl: Morda bi moral večkrat sodelovati.
En: Maybe I should participate more often."

Sl: "Ko sta prispela na otok, sta združila družinske člane, ki so se jim pridružili.
En: When they arrived on the island, they joined the family members who joined them.
