Caleb Flynn Jurors Heard THIS Text, and Kohberger's Plea Is Under Fire

An Ohio jury is weighing what a defendant meant, and an Idaho judge is being asked whether another one understood. In the Caleb Flynn murder trial, prosecution witness Alleigha Botner testified the former American Idol contestant told her every week he wished his wife was out of his life. She also read jurors a text exchange from March 2025 that ended in two words. She said he spent Valentine's weekend 2026 promising her a divorce on Monday. Ashley Flynn was shot that Monday morning in their Tipp City home. Botner, who admitted lying to the FBI, said her first reaction was that it was too much of a coincidence. Flynn has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder. In the Bryan Kohberger case, a sealed memo shows his lawyers told the court he struggled to understand the case, and he pleaded guilty six days after the judge refused a delay.
