Season 2 Ep. 20: Navigating Love, Identity, and Growth: A 10-Year Anniversary Story

Hey, lovelies! I am so excited to share this episode with you!

My wife and I are celebrating our 10 years of marriage, and I thought this was the best time to answer questions about our marriage, her transition, and how we navigated through it. In this episode, I am also joined by my wife, Rhea, to share our story and answer some of the questions you all submitted, and go into a bit more.

Do you have other questions you would like for us to answer or want to hear more about our story? Head over to The Former Mean Girl’s Instagram, and we’ll do our best to get them answered for you.

“When I would look at those pictures, particularly after her transition, I had this feeling of, like, neither of those people exist anymore.”

This episode explores:

❤️‍🔥 Our love story before and after Rhea’s transition.

❤️‍🔥 Answering the questions from my listeners.

“I think that the more we normalize these conversations, the more safety trans people can have when they're just navigating the world, being their fucking selves, because we should all be awarded that right, frankly.”

Here are some of the highlights of Episode 20:

❤️‍🔥 (00:34) Rhea and I talk about our relationship and why we want to share this episode.

❤️‍🔥 (05:52) What were the kindest or most supportive comments that we received?

❤️‍🔥 (10:04) What happened to all the old photos and all the old mementos and the stuff from pre-transition?

❤️‍🔥 (20:15) Rhea and I share our thoughts for others who find themselves in the same place.

“Oftentimes couples will end up in that place where they go into autopilot, and they do get complacent. And it isn't until something extreme happens where it usually will end the relationship. And for me, it was an opportunity for us to birth something new.”
