More about today’s Co-Moderator: Valentina Severinova is an Italian wine ambassador based in Moscow, Russia. Working as a sales manager of industrial packaging, 2 years ago Valentina decided to dive into the wine. She has her own tasting club and teaches Italian wine at sommelier school, helps wine distributors with the portfolio. She is also wine journalist and blogger, promoting Italian wines on Russian market. Following in his father’s footsteps, from an early age he showed a great interest in viticulture, accompanying his father among vineyards and wineries. After high school and after a harvest in California, he attended the prestigious wine school of Beaune, in Burgundy, where he graduated in 2018. He continued his international experience in Burgundy and in other areas of wine-growing France (Loire, Champagne, Jura) where he came into contact with the excellence of French oenology. Back on Mt. Etna Simone is an active part of the family business where he deals specifically with the vineyards and winegrowing process. In 2021 together with his brother Andrea he released his own wine Radica (root) – pure grenache made from very old vines.
