In this interview, today’s guest moderator covers the learning objective: “The importance to teach consumers how Prosecco Superiore DOCG is itself another category from the rest of Prosecco DOC from one of the most authoritative figures in the appellation.” Co-Moderator - Alessandro Boga Born in Rimini, Italy, Alessandro Boga earned a Bachelor Degree in Political Science in 2006 and a Master’s Degree in Economics at the University of Bologna in 2009. After study and work experiences in Istanbul (Turkey), London (UK), and finally New York, Alessandro joined Colangelo & Partners, a NYC-based integrated marketing agency specialized in food, wine & spirits, in 2011. In five years Alessandro grew his responsibilities to the level of directing all marketing activities for Italian wine clients. Alessandro joined Wilson Daniels Wholesale in NY as sales representative in February 2016, with the goal to expand the distribution of the Italian portfolio in the NYC metro area. Since April 2018 Alessandro is the National Italian Specialist and Brand Manager of Wilson Daniels, focusing on promoting the Italian wines to the main leading fine wine markets. As of March 2022, Alessandro is the National Portfolio Director for the Italian Estates. Alessandro was awarded a Professional Certificate in Digital Media Marketing from New York University in 2010, the WSET Advanced Level 3 certificate at the International Wine Center in New York in 2014, the Italian Wine Professional Certificate at Italian Wine Central in 2015 and the CSW certificate by the Society of Wine Educators in 2018. He is Bisol1542 Ambassador and Honorary President, a winery noted for the purest expression of Prosecco Superiore and rooted for over five centuries in Valdobbiadene, a territory that is today a Unesco World Heritage Site. Bisol1542 has always authoritatively and innovatively interpreted the heroic hills of Valdobbiadene, with wines capable of sartorially expressing the nuances of the soils and vintages.
