About Our Guest: Kaapo Paavolainen

Kaapo Paavolainen is the founder of One Day Coffee Company and the reigning Finnish Barista Champion since 2020.

During high school, he and his friends tried coffee for the first time. He quickly fell in love and wanted to make a coffee with a unique taste of lovely notes.

For college, Kaapo studied all sorts of subjects, hopping from one to another because there was no spark. Instead, he had a feeling where he should do something with coffee. He decided to drop out and pursue the study of coffee.

His vision is to open peoples perspective on coffee through creating memorable flavor experiences while educating people about quality oriented value chain of specialty coffee.
