Women of Science Fiction: Carrie Fisher

Carrie Fisher (1956-2016) was an American actress and writer who played Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy. She reprised the role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker. She was also one of the most sought after script doctors in Hollywood, working on scripts for Sister Act, The Wedding Singer, and even films in the Star Wars franchise.

These diverse women from across space and time are grouped into easily accessible and engaging monthly themes like Educators, Villains, Indigenous Storytellers, Activists, and many more. Womanica is hosted by WMN co-founder and award-winning journalist Jenny Kaplan. The bite-sized episodes pack painstakingly researched content into fun, entertaining, and addictive daily adventures.
