S4:E29 Jonah and the Whale, Micah’s Call to Justice, and Obadiah’s Prophecy (KJV)

Welcome to Sleepy Scriptures. Tonight, I’ll read the Old Testament books of Obadiah, Jonah, and Micah from the King James Bible, with gentle, relaxing music in the background to help you find calm and rest.

In Obadiah, the shortest Old Testament book, we hear a message of God’s justice against pride and betrayal. The story of Jonah follows, reminding us of God’s boundless mercy as the reluctant prophet learns that even the great city of Nineveh can repent and be forgiven. We conclude with the prophecy of Micah, who calls God’s people to righteousness, hope, and humility, declaring the famous words: “What doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”
