Tribe Talk Pilot: What It Means To Set The Mind

Tribe Talk Pilot: What It Means To Set The Mind

Normally we sit down with people who are world class - masters of craft - and we work to deconstruct and decode how they became who they are. I want to do something a little bit different here. The podcast landscape - it's really fun obviously - but there's no rules, there's no path, there's literally no map about how this is supposed to work. One of the things that I've wanted to do is answer some of the questions that come our way through social media. And there's great questions on the Finding Mastery Tribe (https://www.findingmastery.net/tribe) It's our community page that we've activated and I love the questions that come with it. Those that are part of the tribe seem to love them as well because you're supporting and challenging each other. I want to try something out. I want to answer some questions. I'm thinking that either I'll answer the questions that have the most activity around them because obviously it's touching a chord or ones that I vibe with, ones that I've been thinking about a lot as well. This could also be a canvas for me to work out ideas and share thoughts. If this feels useful, here’s a way that I think we can capture it. If you’re interested, send an email to info@findingmastery.net and put in the subject line “Tribe Talk”. If there’s enough interest, we'll create a plan from there, where I can spend the time to do this. This will either look like a growth model or a paid model - we'll figure all that out. A growth model would be, if you help us grow the tribe then that in of itself is worth the investment back to answer these questions and put some real thought and brain power into it. So here's the question: Dan Walsh asked this question on the Finding Mastery Tribe and it's from the podcast with David Goggins. If you missed that, the podcast is a gem and it's definitely worth going back and listening. Dan asks, “What's the difference between setting one's mind and having a mindset?” and it's a great question. You can here my answer to Dan's question in the podcast! If this is a great experience for us and there's utility in it we'll keep doing this. If not, no worries. This is all part of trying to figure out the map and the path if you will.
