Music Can Change Your World | Greco (NYC) Ep. 61
“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” Friedrich Nietzsche I’ve been waiting a long time to use that quote in a post. It’s one of my all-time favorites. (Thanks dad for introducing me to it!) There’s something interesting about energy. As hard as it is to explain and articulate, something tells me you know exactly what I mean. It’s that feeling, vibe or insight you get when you’re around someone. Sometimes you don’t even need to be in their vicinity to feel it. Maybe all it takes is a picture or video clip to feel it. And that’s exactly what it’s called… “It.” Greco (NYC) has “It.” He also gets “It.” You’re probably thinking… What exactly do I mean by “It?” I’m talking about that feeling of connection. The non-verbal cue you get when you and someone else are on the same page. Greco uses his music to build that exact connection with thousands of people around the world. I first met Greco years ago when we went to high school together. I didn’t know what it was at the time, but I always had a feeling he would make an impact with whatever it was he chose to do. Greco’s choice was house music. From New York to Sarasota, to Ibiza, to Toronto, Greco has traveled the world sharing his hard work, talent, and skills with crowds of all sizes. From playing clubs to playing stages, Greco is on a path to success and it’s easy to see how his dreams drive him forward. After ten long years of watching each other from afar, our paths came in close proximity to each other once again. I took that opportunity to drive to Atlanta where he was playing the Imagine Festival and catch up. The following is the conversation the came about after the journey. We connect on the importance of putting in the work, seeking mentors, helping others and always shooting for the moon. Greco and I may have spent a majority of our lives in two different parts of the world, but I’d say our mindsets are as in sync as the tunes he bumps on his Spotify channel. Now that’s what I mean when I say; “He gets it.” Make sure you reach out and connect with Greco below! Hacked – The Perfect Storm | Ted Phaeton Ep. 59
“If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss” Rudyard Kipling Ahhh Yes… The story so many of you have asked me about. Some of you may have noticed my absence on Instagram the past couple of weeks. To answer your question, that was not by choice. My account was hacked, stolen and likely won’t be recovered. As I type those words above, I oddly feel a bit of excitement. What can I possibly be excited about? I’m glad you asked. “With new levels, Come new devils.” My man Sergio Loaiza told me that in our episode discussing Growth Mindset and Living With Purpose. I’m excited because I’ve never felt that I was a target to have something taken from me. You’ve probably heard the joke. “You can steal my debit card because there isn’t much in my account.” However, I’m thankful to learn the lesson of protection and security with something easily replaceable like an Instagram account. In hindsight, it could have been something so much worse. Time to move forward… Now is an opportunity to rise above the adversity in front of me and create a new platform to connect with you. My readers, my followers, my motivation. As you know, I rely on Instagram for a lot of my traffic and visibility. It’s not just a social media platform. For me, my Instagram account is an expression of who I am and who I hope to be. While typing this, I’m planning on returning and starting a new account with the intention of surpassing my previous success. I hope you join me on the journey and help me learn a few things along the way. For now, enjoy this laid back and free form episode with Andrej Suttles, Charles Russ and myself. We had a fun time with this one and tried to leave a few nuggets along the way. If you know someone who can benefit from this, please be sure to share the episode with them. As always, please leave a comment or rating with how you think we are doing. Take-Two: Getting Through The Hard Times | Andrej Suttles Ep. 55
There’s nothing as exciting as a comeback – seeing someone with dreams, watching them fail, and then getting a second chance. RACHEL GRIFFITHS We all make mistakes. I may be in the process of making one now. However, is the focus on mistakes or on progress? Sometimes we find ourselves in a season of “Opps.” Everything we try and attempt seems to just fall short. These are the times it becomes hard to push through and double down on your goals and dreams. Andrej Suttles of Suttlesolution and I sat down twice to discuss this topic. Ironically enough, the first time we got together for the episode, WE NEVER HIT RECORD! It was a set back that hit us both hard. The good news is this happened with someone comfortable and not a high profile guest. After letting it settle for a few hours, Andrej and I let it go and sat down to capture the topic again. We learn from our mistakes. We grow along the way. Finally, we work on ourselves to get better. That’s how we get through the hard times. Your perspective of your struggle just might be holding you back. Look at the season of “Opps” as an opportunity to grow and get better. At least that’s how Andrej and I get through it. Take a listen to today’s episode and let us know how you get through the hard times. Please, be sure to comment below and subscribe to get the latest episodes each week. Also, ratings mean the world to us, so please leave some feedback if you can.
