Doula Talk: Postpartum, Babies and the Battle for Sleep

Doula Talk: Postpartum, Babies and the Battle for Sleep

Doula Talk is a podcast for parents in the real, often messy middle of pregnancy, postpartum, and the first year of parenting.

Hosted by Doula Deb, a birth, postpartum, and sleep doula who has supported families for almost 20 years, this show offers compassionate guidance, honest conversation, and practical support. We talk about birth preparation, postpartum recovery, newborn care, feeding, baby sleep, postpartum anxiety, and the mental and emotional load so many parents carry quietly.

This isn’t about quick fixes or perfect schedules. The guiding idea here is understanding before fixing: figuring out what’s actually happening with your baby and your family before you change anything, so you can build routines that are steady, flexible, and sustainable.

Through solo episodes and conversations with trusted experts, Doula Talk helps you make sense of sleep struggles, feeding questions, recovery, and decision overload, without shame, pressure, or panic.

The podcast is currently on a break, but more than 60 episodes are waiting for you. You don’t need to listen in order. Find the season you’re in and start there. Every episode has a matching blog post, and a guide to the full archive, organized by topic, is on the blog at douladeb.com/blog.

Doula Deb is still working with families on sleep, feeding, and postpartum support. Book a discovery call at douladeb.com/contact.

If you’re pregnant, newly postpartum, or deep in the exhaustion of caring for a baby, this is a place to slow down, feel less alone, and remember that you’re not doing this wrong.
