Overconsumption, Political Pressure & Product As A Service Models w/ Elin Bergman

Sabira & Garr interview Elin Bergman - COO and Vice Chairman of Cradlenet. Elin candidly speaks about the differences / similarities between the Nordic & US cultures, the impact they have on designing policies for circular economy success and what it means to be a part of a mindset shift in capitalism. Later in the episode, Elin introduces us to Cradlenet's Product-as-a-Service Report, a researches set of recommendations, nine critical challenges and how to fix them for circular product success. You can find the free report here: https://www.cradlenet.se/rapport-product-as-a-serviceMore about Cradlenet: Cradlenet's vision is that Sweden has a circular economy in place by 2035 at the latest, as a prerequisite for reaching the national climate goal for 2045. Cradlenet was founded in 2009 by people inspired by the book "Cradle to Cradle - Remaking the way me make things" by William McDonough and Michael Braungart. The network was then about spreading the ground-breaking message in the book - that we should change to a circular cycle society instead of the current wear-and-throw society.Today, Cradlenet is one of the world's oldest circular economy networks that helps companies and organizations with the transition to a circular economy. We do this by supporting our members with, among other things, weekly themed meetings, advice, new knowledge, monitoring the world around us, studies, training, opinion and networking locally, nationally and at the Nordic level.Cradlenet organizes open and free national seminars on the latest in circular economy. Information dissemination also takes place on our social media, in the media, on the website and through Cradlenet's newsletter. Cradlenet also works with political influence to speed up the transition and support the politicians in their work with circular economy.Cradlenet is a non-profit organization based in Stockholm. Our work is run by the office, the operational board and by our local networks in North, South and West.
