4:20 pm As men get older, the fear of having problems with their prostate slowly creeps into their heads and each year their physicians recommend a digital exam or at least a PSA - Prostate-Specific Antigen – blood test to screen for prostate cancer. Currently, there are over 3.5 million prostate cancer survivors living in the US and roughly 333,830 new cases are expected to be diagnosed. While it is the second-leading cause of cancer death in American men, it is highly treatable with the 5-year relative survival rate approaching 98%. We turn to oncologist Dr. Sanjay Mehta who specializes in treating prostate cancer – as well as breast, colon and lung cancers – to explain how to handle this disease.

4:50 pm The 12th International Day of Yoga will be commemorated on Saturday, June 20 with a huge celebration at Midtown Park spearheaded by the Indian Consulate. Many related events will held across the Metroplex from June 7 through 26 with hundreds of ardentpractitioners and instructors leading yoga sessions. We turn to yoga teacher from Svyassa and a core organizer of IDY, Dr. Neeta Hiray of The Woodlands to explain what to expect atthe events, and why yoga has exploded in popularity in the past dozen years.
