Why Was D4VD Arrested With A Ramey Warrant Instead Of An Indictment?

David Anthony Burke — the recording artist known as D4VD — was arrested by LAPD Robbery-Homicide at a Hollywood Hills residence on a probable-cause warrant signed by a judge, not on an indictment from the grand jury that had been investigating for months. That distinction matters, and this look back breaks down why.

A Ramey warrant allows police to arrest a suspect based on probable cause reviewed by a judge, without waiting for the DA to file charges or a grand jury to return an indictment.
