Who Was the Woman in the Rocking Chair? | After Midnight

After moving into what seemed like the perfect family home, a young couple watched their six-year-old daughter become fascinated with a sunny little room at the end of the upstairs hallway. She insisted she wasn't alone up there. There was a kind woman with gray hair who liked to sit in the rocking chair by the window.

At first, they assumed it was an imaginary friend.

Then they began hearing footsteps in empty rooms. Chores seemed to finish themselves. A babysitter left convinced someone else had been walking the upstairs hallway. None of it felt threatening...just strangely familiar.

Years passed, but one question never completely went away.

Who was the woman upstairs...and why did she seem determined to keep watching over the house?
