52. Life After Birth: Preparing for Postpartum | with Ashley Lyon

52. Life After Birth: Preparing for Postpartum | with Ashley Lyon

Ashley Lyon is a DONA-certified postpartum doula, yoga teacher, and the founder of Bloom Mama. Becoming a mom completely transformed her life and kick started her own self-discovery journey. She realized that there is a lack of resources and community for new moms, so she used everything she had learned to create Bloom Mama, a platform for helping other mamas who value personal development just as much as they want to grow as a mom. We talk all about the different ways postpartum can impact new moms, postpartum depression, and making sure you’re prepared for the birth of your baby and everything that comes after.

We Chat About:

  • How Ashley got into postpartum work
  • Where people struggle the most with comparison during pregnancy
  • Calling out the false stories you tell yourself
  • How to prepare for postpartum
  • Taking time for real self-care
