008: Dr. Laura DeCesaris on Taking an Individual Approach to Wellness, Streamlining Your Health Journey and Understanding the Phases of Your Cycle to Set Yourself up for Success

Our health is arguably the most important component in our lives. Without it we can’t function in life or show up for our loved ones the way we want. Everyone’s health journey is different and there’s no one size fits all when it comes to wellness so why do we approach it as if that’s the case? My guest today Dr. Laura DeCesaris is on a mission to help women take a personalized approach to understanding their own individual bodies and optimizing their health in a way specific to them so that they can perform at their best. I have learned a lot from her and I know you’ll take a lot away from this conversation!

Dr. Laura DeCesaris is an entrepreneurial health expert and Functional-Medicine doctor, specializing in women’s health and high performance.

Dr. Laura works with driven, ambitious women, helping them to rebuild their metabolism so they can experience optimal brain health, body composition, and natural vitality. She takes a female-centric approach to health and wellness, teaching women about their bodies and brains so they can make better decisions for their health and leverage their biochemistry for optimal performance.

In this episode we talk about:

  • Looking at each person’s health from an individual standpoint
  • The difference between traditional medicine and functional medicine
  • Feeling good vs. feeling GREAT
  • Small consistent habits that can transform your health
  • Streamlining your health journey
  • Understanding your personality type and why it’s important to know for your health journey
  • Cycle syncing and how we can use it to set ourselves up for success
