The Full Metal Assault of KK’s Priest and Accept

KK’s Priest and Accept just launched the “Full Metal Assault” tour, and K.K. Downing, Tim “Ripper” Owens, and Accept guitarist Wolf Hoffman explain how this insane double-bill came together! K.K. talks about the formation of KK’s Priest, how he got Ripper into the band, what it was like to write and record the new KK’s Priest album, “The Sinner Rides Again,” and even talks about the early days of Judas Priest and the evolution of their look and sound with Rob Halford. Tim “Ripper” Owens shares the story of being flown to London to try out for Judas Priest, how and when he found out he got the gig, and the differences between “Ram It Down” and “Painkiller”! And Wolf from Accept discusses the band’s new three-guitar attack with the addition of Philip Shouse, how they found singer Mark Tornillo (after Udo Dirkschneider left the band), teaching former Whitesnake guitarist Joel Hoekstra the Accept live choreography, and the making of Accept’s new studio album, “Humanoid.” Plus, all three guys talk favorite songs, what you can expect to hear on this tour, and the special collaborations they might break out live!
