She's back! I'm delighted to welcome Teresa Waser back to the podcast for another conversation. This time, we are taking a deep dive into Pelvic Organ Prolapse & Exercise

We discuss:

  • how we need to acknowledge the mismatch between the stage of prolapse and the symptoms
  • why we need to make sure our focus is not just on the bio but also encompasses the psychosocial
  • challenging the perceptions of danger/safety when it comes to resistance exercise
  • educating about the necessity of strength training for women, especially in the peri to post menopausal years
  • using the TIIPPSSFC framework that Teresa developed to increase both confidence & competence in exercise Rx for this population (but also where we might need to use caution)
